Dr. Sreter, the well known Jerusalem dentist, chooses carefully which and when radiographs are taken. The Dental Associations have guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see much below the surface that we cannot see visually. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and health of bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal.  Dr. Sreter utilizes digital imaging technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is much much  less when compared to traditional radiographs. Regular film x-rays require about one second of exposure per picture. Digital radiographs, on the other hand, require only one tenth (.1) of a second per picture. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information.  The advantages of digital imaging enables us to not only store patient images, but also to quickly transfer them to appropriate specialists or insurance companies by e-mail.

Our digital panoramic x-ray center will also save you time and effort instead of having to travel to an x-ray institute. The panoramic radiograph is extremely comfortable and is able to image both of your jaws and teeth simultaneously. It is an excellent tool for wisdom teeth evaluation and generalized health picture of your jaws.
